The Lambay Rowing Challenge

FROM Sep 19 TO Sep 19

Rush Sailing Club, 19 September 2020

Push yourself and your crew to your limits on the Lambay Challenge. A demanding 19km open-sea row circumnavigating Lambay Island off the coast of North County Dublin.

This is an open water rowing experience unlike any other – a challenging, thrilling, rewarding row followed by an afternoon of celebrations and family fun at Rush Sailing Club.

Now in it’s fourth year, the Lambay Challenge is an all-inclusive row, open to traditional wooden working boats, currachs, skiffs, singles, gigs and longboats. From eight boats in its first year, in 2019 the event was fully sold out months in advance with over 30 boats at the starting line on the day. Crews from around Dublin and Ireland were joined by visiting boats from the US, UK, Netherlands and Denmark.

Not for the faint of heart, the Lambay Challenge is at the heart of Fingal Rowing Club’s annual calendar of events. If you’d like to know more, please do get in touch. Otherwise, book your crew’s place in the line-up now.
