Humans of the Biosphere Exhibition

The Humans of the Biosphere photography collection was produced by local man Derek Skehan with the aim of capturing through a lens the shared connections between local people and our internationally important nature reserves.

The series was initially started during lockdown and sought to give local people the opportunity to share their passion for the biosphere and help inspire others to understand and appreciate its importance and value to the local community.

As each new ‘Human’ shared their love for the biosphere, their images and stories were shared on social media creating lots of interest both locally and throughout the world network of biosphere reserves.
